1.2. Materials (l): Rudhiraratna (Blood Stone)
As its name indicates, this gem is believed to be created from the blood of the demon Bala[1]. It is said to be found in the region of Narmada river. The colour of this gem is similar to that of a parrot’s beak with a white hue in the centre. This gem is also found in a blue shade.
