These ten types of drama are categorised based on the plot (vastu), hero (neta) and sentiment (rasa)

Part 2 - Summary of the drama (ܰ쳾ṇīharaṇa)

First Act -

󲹲ī Subuddhī, a teacher, Suvatsalā, the attendant of ܰ쳾ṇ� and the daughter of īṣm첹, the king of Vidarbha, came to ٱ and informed ṛṣṇa that Śśܱ is interested in marrying ܰ쳾ṇ�, but ܰ쳾ṇ� has already accepted him (ṛṣṇa) as her husband. ܰ쳾ī, the brother of ܰ쳾ṇ�, supports Śśܱ and behaves as an enemy of ṛṣṇa. However, once, Priyaṃvadaka, an ambassador brought some letters of ܰ쳾ī and Śśܱ, to show to ṛṣṇa and . After reading the letters, 峾 gets angry and promises to make Rukmi and Śśܱ surrender to ṛṣṇa. After listening, the promise of 峾, ṛṣṇa told ū that they should depart for fighting the next day.

Second Act �

When ṛṣṇa, 峾 and others were discussing about the fight, Sandhānaka, the ambassador of Śśܱ, came and presented a garland of emeralds to ṛṣṇaand informed that Śśܱ was planning to marry ܰ쳾ṇ� in the month of ղś. ṛṣṇa then sent the message with Sandhānaka that he would attend the marriage ceremony, at ṇḍԲܰ.

Third Act -

ܰ쳾ṇ� becomes worried at the prospect of marriage with Śśܱ. However, she was consoled with a portrait of ṛṣṇa. In the mean time, ṛṣṇa comes and resides in the camp at ṇḍԲܰ. Suvatsalā and Subuddhī come to the camp of ṛṣṇa and give a portrait of ܰ쳾ṇ�.

Further, Suvatsalā tells ܰ쳾ṇ� that ṛṣṇa has already got married with her portrait. Then ܰ쳾ṇ� also gets married with the portrait of ṛṣṇa. Thereupon, ṭ� Ѳ첹Ի徱 drew a portrait of ܰ쳾ṇ�, aside the portrait of ṛṣṇa and gave the same to ܰ쳾ṇ�.

In the mean time, all the kings come to the marriage, through the palace of īṣm첹. ܰ쳾ṇ� and Ѳ첹Ի徱 keep watching them from the window. However, Suvatsalā sends Ѳ첹Ի徱 to another place. When Ѳ첹Ի徱 left, the portrait slips away from the hands of ܰ쳾ṇ� and reaches the hands of ṛṣṇa. Seeing the portrait of ܰ쳾ṇ� and himself, ṛṣṇa becomes surprised. His portrait is drawn aside ܰ쳾ṇ� like a married couple. When he looked up, he saw ܰ쳾ṇ� is watching him from the window. ṛṣṇa appreciates the beauty of ܰ쳾ṇ�. At that time, īṣm첹 comes and takes ṛṣṇa away.

Meanwhile, Śśܱ and ܰ쳾ī come in a chariot. Watching them, all the women whispered that Śśܱ would be killed by ṛṣṇa. However, Śśܱ was trying to locate ܰ쳾ṇ�, but he was unable to locate her. In between, ܰ쳾ṇ� leaves with Subuddhī to worship Իṇ�.

Fourth Act -

ṛṣṇa abducted ܰ쳾ṇ� at her will, at the time of worship of Իṇ�. In the meanwhile, the fighting started between the armies of ṛṣṇa and Śśܱ. ṛṣṇa was far away from the fighting place. 峾 was fighting alone with both ܰ쳾ī and Śśܱ but they started running behind ṛṣṇa, leaving 峾 alone. Seeing this, ṛṣṇa came back. The verbal fighting started between ṛṣṇa and Śśܱ. In the mean time, ٲⲹ쾱 and 峾 also joined ṛṣṇa. However, when war reached the climax, ܰ쳾ī and Śiśupala moved to the sky and started magical war. The arrows were showered from the sky. Then ṛṣṇa called Ҳḍa. Sitting on the back of Ҳḍa, ṛṣṇa fought with them and brought Śśܱ down. When the fighting ended, ṛṣṇa and 峾 left for ٱ.
