Text 10.226
[This illustrates the second ī貹. A well-known ܱ貹Բ is imagined to be the upameya,]
विवे-विधुरः प्रेयान् यत तेनाप्य् उपमीयत |
कृशोदर तवानेन मुखे मृ-लाञ्छन ||
viveka-vidhura preyān yat tenāpy upamīyate |
kṛśodari tavānena mukhena mṛga-lāñchana ||
Girl, your lover has no sound judgment since he is comparing the moon to your face.

vadanam ida samam indo sundaram api te katha cira na bhavet |
malinayati yat kapolau locana-salila hi kajjala-vat ||“Your face is beautiful too. Why would the moon not compare to it for a long time, since, mixed with eyeliner, the water from your eyes is staining your cheeks? (屹ṅk 8.77)
