This is an example of īٲ- (disgust):
ghrāṇodghūrṇaka-ūپ-gandha-첹ṭe kīṭākule ī-srasta-ٲ-ūٳ-ūٳ-ṭa-Ծūٲ-netrāyuṣi |
-峾Ծ hanta 岵-yamenāmī vaya� kṣiptās te ṛt 첹ⲹ naraka-ṃsn iha ṇi� ||
ṇa-ܻ岵ūṇa첹—which makes the nose unsteady; ūپ-gandha—because of a putrid smell; 첹ṭe‰ھ hell,] which is dreadful; īṭa-ܱ—crowded with insects; ī—at the threshold of a door; srasta—dDZ; ٲ—d; ūٳ—of groups [of humans]; ūٳ—of the feces; ṭa—b the arrangement; Ծūٲ—is removed; netra-ṣi‰ھ hell,] in which the lifespan of the eyes; -峾Ծ‰ھ hell,] named prison; hanta—a; 岵-yamena—b Yama in the form of the king of Magadha; ī—these ones; vayam—w; —in a multitude of hells; ṣi�—we were thrown; te—of You; ṛt—the remembrance; 첹ⲹ—after getting; naraka-ṃs—O terminator of hell; iha—here (or at this time); ṇi�—we breathe.
Goodness gracious, O terminator of hell, we, of all people, have been thrown by Yama, in the form of Ի, in the inferno called prison. It is filled with insects. The span of a glance in it is shortened by the arrangement of the excrement of a diseased flock dropped at the doorway. And it is dreadful because the stink makes the nose whirl. By remembering You, we keep breathing at this time. (Bhakti-峾ṛt-sindhu 4.7.11)
