The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.1.2, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. O topmost sage, despite heartily drinking the nectar of this great ocean of 艢谤墨尘补诲-叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘, which is scented with the fragrance of your lotus mouth, I am still not satiated.

The first part of this book presents narrations that describe the recipients of the mercy of the Lord. 艢r墨 Janamejaya was very pleased to hear from his guru, 艢r墨 Jaimin墨, the essence of 艢谤墨尘补诲-叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘 and the 产丑补办迟颈-艣腻蝉迟谤补蝉, other scriptures that describe devotion. Still, desiring to hear more, he speaks this verse, beginning with 艣谤墨尘补诲-产丑腻驳补惫补迟腻尘产丑辞诲丑颈, to his guru. Here, the adjective 艣谤墨尘补迟, meaning 鈥榖eautiful,鈥� precedes the word 产丑腻驳补惫补迟, signifying that the scriptures about the Supreme Lord, 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍, are full of all varieties of beauty and treasures. The word ambhodhi, meaning 鈥榦cean,鈥� indicates that 艢谤墨尘补诲-叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘 is like an ocean, as each word of the 叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘 can have myriad meanings.
Alternatively, ambhodhi indicates that as the Milk Ocean, due to its unlimited and fathomless glories, is superior to all other oceans, 艢谤墨尘补诲-叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘 is the best among all scriptures (艣腻蝉迟谤补蝉). Just as the nectar of immortality, known as 补尘峁泃补, springs forth from the Milk Ocean (办峁Ｄ玶补-蝉腻驳补谤补), so this narration, which is endowed with meanings that are the sweetest essence of nectar and which ascertains what is the essence of the Lord鈥檚 mercy, emanates from 艢r墨mad 叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘.
艢r墨 Janamejaya says, 鈥淒espite fully drinking this ambrosia, I am not satiated, and in fact, I am eager to drink more and more. Why is this so? This 产丑腻驳补惫补迟膩m峁泃a (the nectar of 艢谤墨尘补诲-叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补尘) is extremely tasteful because it is laden with the fragrance of the lotus-like mouth of a topmost devotee like you. It is for this reason that I am not satisfied although I have drunk it repeatedly.鈥�
