Bhakti-rasamrita-vindu. This also is a Vaishnava work, and treats of faith in Krishna, who, it recommends, should be looked upon as a master, a friend, a son, a parent, or a lover, according to one's feelings and depth of devotion. It is an abridgement, by Visvanatha Chakravarti, of the great work of Jiva Gosvami on the subject-the Bhaktirasamrita-sindhu or the " ocean of the nectar of faith." Under instruction from Sanatana Gosvami, Rupa Gosvami wrote the first work on the topic, the Bhagavatamrta, which describes the amours of Krishna at Vrindavana as the most perfect manifestation of divine love on earth, and says that the effect of the highest faith in man developes itself in the form of love which the milkmaids of Vrindavana evinced towards Krishna. Jiva Gosvami and Raghunatha Dasa compiled an abridgment of this work, under the name of Bhagavatamrita kana, and Visvanatha Kaviraja prepared a brief epitome of it, which is called Bagavatamritakna-lesa.
