This variety of Yoga appeals to the common man because it develops a feeling of security in the devotee. This feeling is developed because the devotee has a kind of dependence on the object of this devotion i.e. the supreme creator God. It also appeals because of its simplicity in the way of performing it. The devotee just devotes himself to God and leaves all his worries and anxieties on him. And ‘He' really helps him.
