6. հṣṭܲ and Rudras
In the Gopatha ṇa, հṣṭܲ metre is portrayed as the wife of Rudras. This identification may be done on the basis of their similarities of number. Rudra are of eleven in number and հṣṭܲ metre also includes eleven syllables in each 岹.[1] The definition of հṣṭܲ metre is depicted in the
ṻ岹پśⲹ ٳܲ�
catuścatvāriṃśat triṣṭuvakṣarāṇi catuṣpadā | ekādaśākṣarai� 岹i� ||[2]
It means հṣṭܲ metre includes forty-four syllables and four 岹s. Each 岹 consists of eleven syllables.
