Kavyamimamsa of Rajasekhara (Study)

This page relates ‘Rajashekhara’s treatment on Padavakyaviveka and Kavyapaka� of the study on the Kavyamimamsa of Rajasekhara: a poetical encyclopedia from the 9th century dealing with the ancient Indian science of poetics and rhetoric (also know as alankara-shastra). The Kavya-mimamsa is written in eighteen chapters representing an educational framework for the poet (kavi) and instructs him in the science of applied poetics for the sake of making literature and poetry (kavya).
Part 3 - Ჹś’s treatment on ʲ岹ⲹ첹 and 屹ⲹ첹
The subject matter of ʲ岹ⲹ첹 [pada-ⲹ-viveka] is comprises into three chapters on IV, V and VI in the 屹ⲹmīmāṃsā There is the fifth chapter deals with the 屹ⲹ첹 [屹ⲹ-첹] (maturity of poetic expression) also be included as a sub-part of the major matter of ʲ岹-ⲹ-첹. However the 屹ⲹ-첹 (maturity of poetic expression) is nothing but the selection of such words and sentences as may be appropriate to the rasa.
In the chapter fourth, deals with kavi (poet) and 屹ⲹ (poetry). Here we seems the Ჹś views with the concepts of his ancestor rhetoricians about different kinds of disciples, causes of poetry, classifications of ʰپ, distinction between kavi (poet) and 屹첹 or ṛdⲹ (critic) with their verities.
