The special feature of Draupadiamman worship is the divya
of treading bare footed over a pit covered with burning faggots. This
divya is undertaken by women dressed in yellow saris of different
ages as a means of thanks giving.

In the epic poem Rāmāyaṇa, Sītā is said to have been
obtained from the womb of the earth. As such she represents the
Earth. Sītā is offered worship only as spouse goddess. Her role does
not extend further except that of a chaste wife. A rare instance of Sītā
as the defied furrow 192 appears in the Vedic region.
b. Laksmi as a mare.
The DBP mentions about the special incarnation of the
goddess Laksmi as a mare - a mare which springs out of the ocean as
192 RV IV.57.6.
