Story of Trigarta
A powerful kingdom of ancient ٲ. There are several references in the Ѳٲ to the Kings of Trigarta. The following are a few of them worth noticing:�
(i) The ṇḍ passed through the country of Trigarta while they were wandering in the forests after the fire accident at the waxpalace. (Śǰ첹 2, Chapter 155, Ādi Parva).
(ii) Arjuna during his victory march to the north defeated the King of Trigarta. (Śǰ첹 18, Chapter 27, Parva).
(iii) Nakula once conquered the country of Trigarta. (Śǰ첹 7, Chapter 32, Parva).
(iv) The Kings of Trigarta used to pay tribute to Dharmaputra. ( Parva, Chapter 52, Śǰ첹 14).
(v) A King of Trigarta once killed the horses tied to the chariot of Dharmaputra and then committed suicide. (Śǰ첹 12, Chapter 271, Vana Parva).
(vi) A King of Trigarta named Suratha was slain by Nakula. (Śǰ첹 18, Chapter 271, Vana Parva).
(vii) ś, King of Trigarta with his army joined the Kaurava side and carried away the cattle of the King of վṭa and also fought with him. Arjuna during his stay incognito at the palace of the King of վṭa killed many Trigartas. (Chapter 32, վṭa Parva).
(viii) ś, King of Trigarta, took the King of վṭa as a captive and enraged at this īԲ was about to kill ś when Arjuna intervened and stopped him from that. (Chapter 23, վṭa Parva).
(ix) Satyaratha, King of Trigarta, had four brothers and the ṇḍ fought against all the five. (Śǰ첹 9, Chapter 166, Udyoga Parva).
(x) In the Ҳḍa-ū constructed by īṣm (battle array in the shape of a vulture) five Trigarta princes stood at the head of the formation. (Chapter 56, īṣm Parva).
(xi) Arjuna used the ⲹٰ against the Trigartas in the great battle. (Chapter 102, īṣm Parva).
(xii) Śrī ṛṣṇa once defeated the Trigartas. (Chapter 11, ٰṇa Parva).
(xiii) Once ʲśܰ峾 killed many Trigartas. (Chapter 70, ٰṇa Parva).
(xiv) There was a fight between ٲⲹ쾱 and the Trigartas once. (Chapter 181, ٰṇa Parva).
(xv) Arjuna who led the sacrificial horse of the śyajña of Dharmaputra created great havoc to the Trigartas. (Chapter 74, ś Parva).
(xvi) The Kings of Trigarta live in the court of Yama. (Śǰ첹 20, Chapter 8, Parva).
