Story of 础峁兣沘
A sage of the family of 惭补谤墨肠颈.
Genealogy.
He was descended from 痴颈峁ａ箛耻 through 叠谤补丑尘腻, 惭补谤墨肠颈 and 碍补艣测补辫补.
Birth.
惭补谤墨肠颈 was one of the six sons, all 峁涐梗is, of 叠谤补丑尘腻. These six sons, born parthogenetically of 叠谤补丑尘腻, were: 惭补谤墨肠颈, 础峁単颈谤补蝉, Atri, Pulastya, Pulaha and Kratu. 惭补谤墨肠颈 had a son named 碍补艣测补辫补. 碍补艣测补辫补 married the thirteen daughters of 顿补办峁. The eldest of them, Aditi, gave birth to twelve sons 顿丑腻迟腻, Aryaman, Mitra, 艢补办谤补, 痴补谤耻峁嘺, 础峁兣沘, Bhaga, 痴颈惫补蝉惫腻苍, 笔奴峁苍, 厂补惫颈迟腻, 罢惫补峁ａ弓腻 and 痴颈峁ａ箛耻. 础峁兣沘 is one of these twelve sons who have been called the twelve 膧诲颈迟测补蝉. Events.
The 惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补 says (艢濒辞办补 66, Chapter 123) that 础峁兣沘 was present at the time of Arjuna鈥檚 birth when several devas had come there to see the infant. In 艢濒辞办补 34, Chapter 45 of 艢补濒测补 Parva it is said that 础峁兣沘 was present on the occasion of the 础产丑颈峁办补 of Skandadeva. 础峁兣沘 is said to have presented to Skandadeva five good warriors: Parigha, 痴补峁璦, 叠丑墨尘补, Dahana and Dahati.
