The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.75; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथ� वा �
निरुद्धं बाष्पाम्भः कथम् अप� मय� गद्ग�-गिरो
ह्रिया सद्य� गूढा� सख� विघटित� वेपथुर� अप� �
गिरि-द्रोण्या� वेणौ ध्वनति निपुणैर् इङ्गित-मय�
तथाप्य� ऊहाञ्चक्रे मम मनसि रागः परिजनै� ॥२.�.७५�yathā vā �
niruddha� bāṣpāmbha� katham api gadgada-giro
hriyā sadyo gūḍhā� sakhi vighaṭito vepathur api |
giri-droṇyā� veṇau dhvanati nipuṇair ṅgٲ-maye
tathāpy ūhāñcakre mama manasi rāga� parijanai� ||2.3.75||
English translation
Another example:
“O friend! When the sound of the flute indicating the presence of ṛṣṇa manifests in the ravine, I stop the flow of tears, I hide my choked voice and conceal the trembling of my body. However, skillful persons have guessed that I have attraction to ṛṣṇa in my heart.�
