57. վśṣa

विना प्रसिद्धम् आधारम् आधेयस्� व्यवस्थिति� �
एकात्म� युगपद् वृत्तिर् एकस्याने�-गोचर� � १०.१३� �
अन्यत् प्रकुर्वतः कार्यम� अशक्यस्याप� वस्तुन� �
तथैव करणं चेति विशेषस� त्रि-विधः स्मृतः � १०.१३� �

ekٳ yugapad vṛttir ekasyāneka-gocarā || 10.135 ||
anyat ܰٲ� ⲹ aśakyasyāpi ٳܲԲ� |
tathaiva 첹ṇa� ceti viśeṣas tri-� ṛt� ||10.136||

—wٳdzܳ; prasiddham—w-ԴǷɲ; —t container; ⲹⲹ—of the contents; ⲹٳ󾱳پ�—t establishment; eka-ٳ—in which the nature is the same[1]; yugapat—sܱٲԱdzܲ; ṛtپ�—oܰԳ; ekasya—of one [thing]; Ա첹-dz—whose scope is many; anyat—aԴdzٳ; ܰٲ�—which is accomplishing; —an effect; śⲹⲹ—iDz; api—aٳdzܲ; ٳܲԲ�—of a thing; ٲٳ—in that way; eva—oԱ; 첹ṇa—making [an effect954]; ca—aԻ; iti—tܲ; śṣa�—t ornament called viśeṣa; tri-—tڴDZ; ṛt�—is remembered (is known from the tradition of poets).

վśṣa (extraordinary) has three varieties: (1) Representing a dependent thing without its well-known substratum, (2) One thing is in many places simultaneously in the same form, and (3) In bringing about a result, an entity effects another, unlikely result.

prasiddhādhāra-parihāreṇāpi yⲹⲹ viśiṣṭā sthiti� sa prathamo śṣa�. yā caikasyāpi vastuno yugapad aikarūpyeṇānekatra ṛtپ� sa dvitīya�. yā tu kiñcit ⲹ ārabhamāṇasya kartus tenaiva vyāpāreṇāśakya-kāryāntara-nirmiti� sa tṛtīya�. (The translation of this was incorporated in the above translation.)
