ṇaⲹ—aڳٱ bowing; —at both feet; ṛṣԳ�—o 󾱰 (“born from Vṛṣabhānu�); 岹Բ—the propitiation; kurvati—was doing; 貹ṅkᲹ-ṣe—while the lotus-eyed one; ٲٳ—t; ܻ岹�—a cloud; ṃśu—very intensely; jagarjadzܲԻ; ṣa�—o the chest; ٲṭīm—the edge; ⲹٳ—w; asau; 󲹲—at once; asya—o His; bheje—She experienced.

Lotus-eyed Govinda was about to fall at ’s feet to appease Her pique. Then a cloud thundered. She startled, and at once came near His chest. (adapted from 屹ⲹ-ś verse 534)

samuccaye khale kapota-nipāta-vat kāraṇānā� prāpti�, iha tv ekasmin kāraṇe puṣkale’py anyasya 첹tālīya-vad āpatanam iti bheda�.

In samuccaya, the causes occur just like pigeons fall on the floor of a granary (the causes occur at the same time). In , however, when one cause is potent enough to accomplish the intended result, another cause happens, by the logic of -īⲹ (like a crow and a fruit).

Commentary:

The verse features a ṣa -śԳپ (appeasement of pique). Above, Baladeva Vidyābhūṣaṇa reiterates վśٳ ’s methodology of differentiation between those two ornaments. The logical reasoning called 첹-īⲹ denotes the concept of coincidence: A crow () alights on a branch of a tree and a fruit on another branch falls.

This is ʲṇḍٲ-Ჹ Բٳ’s example of ,

āyātaiva niśā mano mṛga-dṛśām unnidram ātanvatī
  māno me katham eṣa samprati nirātaṅka� hṛdi sthāsyati
|
ūhāpoham ima� saroja-nayanā yāvad vidhattetarā�
  tāvat kāma-nṛpātapatra-suṣama� bimba� babhāse vidho�
||

“�Night, which makes the minds of doe-eyed women stay awake, is already here, so why should my pique comfortably remain in my heart now?� Just when the lotus-eyed woman was deliberating upon the pros and cons in this way, the disc of the moon, which had the resplendence of the white umbrella of King Cupid, made its appearance� (Rasa-ṅg󲹰).

Բٳ elaborates:

ٰ辱 ٰ-sannidhānād api siddhayato Բ-vināśasya candrodayād anāyāsena ,

“The termination of the pique, which was already being accomplished by the arrival of night, is easily accomplished by the rise of the moon� (Rasa-ṅg󲹰, KM p. 492).
