अनुमान तद उक्त यत साध्-साधनयोर् वच  १०.११७cd
ԳܳԲ tad ukta yat ⲹ-Բyor  ||10.117cd||
ԳܳԲ—t ornament named ԳܳԲ (syllogism); tat—t; uktam—is called; yat—w; ⲹ-Բ—of a ⲹ (“what is to be proved) and of a Բ (a cause, “it proves it) (Բ = hetu); —t expression.
When a ⲹ and a Բ are expressed, that is called ԳܳԲ (inference).
vicchittyā cet sādhanāt ⲹsya jñāna tadānumānam.
