samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ� śrautā āropitā yadi || 10.93cd ||

samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ—t subvariety called samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ (“its scope is all the things�[1]); śܳ�—are stated (“related to hearing�); DZ辱�—t ܱ貹Բ (“the things superimposed�) [and the upameyas]; yadi—i.

If all the ܱ貹Բ and the upameyas are stated, that is the subvariety called samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ (complete overall metaphor).

bahutvam avivakṣitam. āropa-viṣayā ivāropyamāṇā� cec chabdopāttā� syus tadā samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ� nāma ū貹첹m.

The plural does not always apply.[2] If both the ܱ貹Բ and the upameyas are mentioned, that is the ū貹첹 called samasta-vastu-ṣaⲹ. (All the metaphors needed to complete the imagery are expressed.)
