Sometimes, ’s special potency enters into a qualified living being, who is then known as an 屹ś-. The wise accept such 屹ś-s to be as good as and as real as Himself.
Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda
(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)
To demonstrate the special opulence of the Lord’s potency, Śrī 岹 says, “Sometimes ’s potency enters into some great living being, who becomes known as an 屹ś, or empowered incarnation. These 屹ś- are also completely real. Because they manifest Śrī ṛṣṇa’s unlimited opulence and sweetness in their character and activities, learned scholars have generally accepted them as incarnations of Śrī ṛṣṇa. Here, Śrī ṛṣṇa’s topmost glories as the ī, source of all incarnations, have been told, and later on they will be further discussed. Thus, instead of using the term ‘Vaikuṇṭheśvara Śrī ⲹṇa in those places, the Lord is instead called ‘Śrī ṛṣṇa.
