The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.3.101, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. मह�-दयालुनानेन पर-दुःखासहिष्णुना �
वैष्णवैक-प्रियेणाहम� उत्थाप्याश्वास्य भाषितः � १०� �-岹ܲnena para-duḥkhāsahiṣṇunā |
ṣṇika-priyeṇāham utthāpyśⲹ ṣiٲ� || 101 ||-岹ܲ–very merciful; anena–by him (Śrī Śiva); 貹-ḥk–the sufferings of others; ṣṇܲ–not able to tolerate; ṣṇ–to the devotees; 첹-ṇa–exclusively affectionate; aham–I; ܳٳٳⲹ–being lifted up; śⲹ–after consoling; ṣiٲ�–sǰ.
The extremely merciful Śrī Ѳ𱹲, who cannot bear the distress of others and who is especially affectionate to the Vaiṣṇavas, then lifted me from the ground and consoled me with the following words.
