The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.3.19, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 2.3.19 contained in Chapter 3—Bhajana (loving service)—of Part two (prathama-khanda).

ताम् अनुज्ञाप्य केनाप्य् आकृष्यमा� इवास� तत� �
आतीत्यावरणं प्राप्तः पराण्य� आवरणान� सत� � १९ �峾 Գñⲹ kenāpy ākṛṣyamāṇa ivāsu tat |
ātītyāvaraṇa� ٲ� parāṇy 屹ṇān sat || 19 ||峾–from her; Գñⲹ–taking permission; 辱–sdzǷ; ṛṣⲹṇa�–being pulled; iva–as if; ś–qܾ; tat–t; īٲⲹ–passing through; 屹ṇa–cDZԲ; ٲ�–aٳٲԱ; 貹ṇi–oٳ; 屹ṇān–cDZԲ; ṣa�–s.
However, I requested permission from the earth goddess to depart. At that time, I felt as if I were being pulled away by the attraction of some unknown force, and I quickly crossed the other six layers.
Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

Śī Gopa-ܳ says, “Having no desire to stay there, I humbly begged ٳṇ�-ī to allow me to leave. Taking her permission, I crossed that earth stratum.�
The Ѳٳܰ ṇa might ask, “You were requested by that topmost Vaiṣṇavī to stay, so why did you not spend a few days there?�
Śī Gopa-ܳ replies, “Being pulled by some force of attraction, I crossed the other layers very quickly.� This indicates that it is not proper to delay elsewhere while engaging in Բ (practice) to achieve the abode of liberation.
