Vaishnavism (Vaishava dharma)

Vaishnava (啶掂啶粪啶｀さ, vai峁ａ箛ava) or vaishnavism (vai峁ａ箛avism) represents a tradition of Hinduism worshipping Vishnu as the supreme Lord. Similar to the Shaktism and Shaivism traditions, Vaishnavism also developed as an individual movement, famous for its exposition of the dashavatara (鈥榯en avatars of Vishnu鈥�).

: archive.org: The Jaina Iconography顿丑腻谤补峁嚹玠别惫墨 (啶оぞ啶班ぃ啷�啶︵啶掂) is the name of the Yak峁峁嚹� accompanying 础谤补苍腻迟丑补: the eighteenth of twenty-four T墨rtha峁僰aras or Jinas, commonly depicted in Jaina iconography.鈥擳he eighteenth Jina 础谤补苍腻迟丑补 carries with him the mystic symbol of either the Nandy膩varta (a kind of Svastika) or a fish. His ministerial staff consists of the Yak峁 named Yak峁ndra and Yak峁峁嚹� named Dh膩ra峁嚹� Dev墨. The sacred tree peculiar to him is C奴ta or mango tree. Govinda R膩ja had the honour of holding his fly-whisk.
Jainism is an Indian religion of Dharma whose doctrine revolves around harmlessness (ahimsa) towards every living being. The two major branches (Digambara and Svetambara) of Jainism stimulate self-control (or, shramana, 鈥榮elf-reliance鈥�) and spiritual development through a path of peace for the soul to progess to the ultimate goal.
