Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Śī ʲīṣi says, “Shortly thereafter, the 󳾲ṇa renounced his family, home, and so on, and set out on pilgrimage to the holy places, or īٳ󲹲, maintaining his body simply by begging. The term ṇa, meaning ‘wandering, indicates apratigraha, ‘a lack of desire for acquisition. “While traveling to holy places, the 󳾲ṇa did not accept anything except the bare necessities. This reveals that now he was free from sin and had developed renunciation. “In this way, traveling through many holy places, he arrived at the confluence, or ṅg, named Ҳṅg-, where the Ҳṅg meets the ocean.
