The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.1.38-39, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. सुखं संवेश्� देवं तं स्�-गृहं गन्तुम� उद्यतम� �
दूराच् छ्री-नारद� दृष्त्वोत्थितो मुनि-समाजतः � ३८ �
अयम् एव मह�-विष्णो� प्रेयान् इत� मुहुर् ब्रुवन� �
धावन� गत्वान्तिक� तस्य विप्रेन्द्रस्येदम् अब्रवीत् � ३९ �sukha� saṃveśya deva� ta� sva-gṛha� gantum udyatam |
dūrāc chrī-nārado dṛṣtvotthito muni-samājata� || 38 ||
ayam eva mahā-viṣṇo� preyān iti muhur bruvan |
dhāvan gatvāntike tasya viprendrasyedam abravīt || 39 ||Then the ṇa gracefully placed the ś峾 deity of on the ṃhԲ to rest and began to ready himself to return home. At that time Śrī 岹 saw the ṇa from a distance and all of a sudden began to rise from the assembly of sages. Over and again he kept repeating, “This mahāśaya alone is indeed dear to Ѳ屹ṣṇ!� Speaking like this, he approached the ṇa.

Having placed the ś峾 of on the ṃhԲ to rest, the exalted ṇa readied to go home. At that moment 岹jī began speaking repeatedly upon seeing the ṇa from a distance, “This ṇa is indeed extremely dear to our Prabhu!�
