: Shodhganga: Edition translation and critical study of yogasarasamgrahaVyāghryādi refers to a medicinal recipe mentioned in the Lehakhaṇḍa (verse 8.4) of the 15th-century Yogasārasaṅgraha (Yogasara-saṅgraha) by Vāsudeva: an unpublished Keralite work representing an Ayurvedic compendium of medicinal recipes. The Lehakhaṇḍa [mentioning 岵徱] contains preparations of leha (linctus, i.e. medicine in the form of a syrup), and gula; such recipes treat patients suffering from conditions such as intermittent fever, cough, hiccough, fever, dyspnoea, haemorrhagic diseases, pulmonary cavitation, tuberculosis, etc.

Āyurveda (आयुर्वेद, ayurveda) is a branch of Indian science dealing with medicine, herbalism, taxology, anatomy, surgery, alchemy and related topics. Traditional practice of Āyurveda in ancient India dates back to at least the first millenium BC. Literature is commonly written in Sanskrit using various poetic metres.
