: Google Books: Manthanabhairavatantram鲍岣岛辫墨峁环补 (啶夃ぁ啷佮お啷�啶�) (Cf. 翱岣岛辫墨峁环补) or simply U岣島 is the name of a sacred seat referring to O岣嶀笉iy膩na or the 鈥榮eat of O峁傗�� (辞峁僰腻谤补辫墨峁环补), according to the Manth膩nabhairavatantra, a vast sprawling work that belongs to a corpus of Tantric texts concerned with the worship of the goddess Kubjik膩..鈥擳he Kum膩rik膩kha峁囜笉a refers to the place where the teachings were originally propagated as U岣峚p墨峁環a. Here the three Siddhas, O岣嶀笉墨艣an膩tha, 峁峁ａ弓han膩tha and Mitran膩tha, received knowledge. As the first of these Siddhas presides over O岣嶀笉iy膩峁嘺 this may be taken to mean that U岣峚p墨峁環a is a separate place. But the texts imply that the first of these three Siddhas remained where the original transmission took place, whereas 峁峁ａ弓han膩tha went to P奴r峁嘺giri and Mitran膩tha to K膩mar奴pa, where they founded separate seats. Again, we find that the first sacred seat, which is normally said to be O岣嶀笉iy膩na or the 鈥榮eat of O峁傗�� (辞峁僰腻谤补辫墨峁环补), is also called U岣島 [鲍岣岛辫墨峁环补] or O岣嵞� [O岣嵞玴墨峁環a].
