Pancaratra (worship of Nārāyaṇa)
: Shodhganga: Kasyapa Samhita—Text on Visha Chikitsa (p)ūś (तूलराश�) refers to “heaps of cotton�, according to the Garuḍopaniṣad (verse 8.5-8) which also describes the appearance of Garuḍa and advices the 첹 to contemplate on such a Garuḍa in connection with the mantras and rituals prescribed for the removal of poison. Garuḍa who is the vehicle of Viṣṇu (ṣṇܱ), who is adorned by nāgas and who destroys poison much like the fire which decimates heaps of cotton (ūś) (Cf. Garuḍopaniṣad verse 8cd-9):
