: Shodhganga: The significance of the m奴la-beras (艣ilpa)厂耻苍诲补谤腻箩补 (啶膏啶ㄠ啶︵ぐ啶距) is the name of a deity that is found depicted at the Kallazhagar Temple in Madurai, which represents a sacred place for the worship of Vi峁ａ箛u.鈥敵С懿曰宀拱迓岵� Perum膩l is found in samap膩da sth膩naka with four pair of hands. The upper hands hold 艣补峁卥丑 (conch) and 蝉耻诲补谤艣补苍补 (discus) in 办补谤迟补谤墨尘耻办丑补-hasta, the next pair of hands hold 蝉补谤补峁単补 (bow) and the arrow in 办补峁璦办补-hasta, the next pair of hands hold 办丑补岣峠补 (sword) and 驳补岣峚 (club) in 办补峁璦办补-hasta and the last pair of hands hold abhaya and 耻谤奴-丑补蝉迟补. 艢r墨dev墨 and Bh奴dev墨 are found on either side of the god.
