His rejection of those schools is unambiguous and based on a typically orthodox criterion鈥攅xternality to the Vedic tradition. Although it offers a comparatively unified picture of 腻蝉迟颈办补 schools, Madhus奴dana鈥檚 doxographical scheme is not all-inclusive, and retains an orthodox character insofar as it denies legitimacy to extra-Vedic traditions and those traditions associated with outcastes.

Having listed the ten 苍峁泃测补-办腻惫测补蝉, he then says these have been described by Kohala and that he (Vema) will explain each of them. The use of the term 苍峁泃测补办腻惫测补 instead of 耻辫补谤奴辫补办补 is noteworthy.
2) 笔谤补蝉迟丑腻苍补 (啶啶班じ啷嵿ぅ啶距え) refers to one of the sixteen divisions of the 顿别艣墨-搁奴辫补办补 compositions in ancient Indian art of dance and theater.鈥擯uru峁ttama Mi艣r膩, while defining the terms 尘腻谤驳补 and 诲别艣墨 quotes the Sa峁単墨tan膩r膩ya峁嘺 (Vol. II, pp.406-410) which he says has been taken from Kohala (the work of Kohala). Following 尘腻谤驳补, the 诲别艣墨 forms are next listed out. First is a list of sixteen types as described by Dattila.
