Maradankaḍavala is the name of a locality that existed in the ancient kingdom of Գܰ󲹱ܰ, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).—Kosavakanda-vihāra about 2 miles south-east of Maradankaḍavala, is styled Milakatiśa-vihāra in a 2nd B.C. inscription there, but in a later 2nd century inscription it is named Jalakataka-vehera and the Darakaḍa tank is mentioned.
