: OpenEdition books: 痴颈惫颈诲丑补迟墨谤迟丑补办补濒辫补岣� (History)Ma岣奴d of Gha岷搉墨 (= Gajja峁嘺vai) is mentioned in the 痴颈惫颈诲丑补迟墨谤迟丑补办补濒辫补 by Jinaprabhas奴ri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (迟墨谤迟丑补蝉).鈥擨n the year 1024, Gajja峁嘺va墨 (Ma岣奴d de Gha岷搉墨) sacked Gujarat and, on the way back, saw the temple of Mah膩v墨ra in Satyapura.鈥擳he date of 1024 given by Jinaprabha suggests that it is about the expedition of Ma岣奴d of Gha岷搉墨 against Soman膩tha, which historians place between 1023 and 1027 ( N膩zim 1931 p. 214) - most generally in 1024-1025 -: cf. Struggle for empire 1966 ( 1 1957) p. 19 and 23 n. 11, AHI 1963 ( 1 1946) p. 183.
