³¢²¹³Ü³ó²¹±ô¾±á¹…g²¹ (लौहलिङà¥à¤—) or Lohaliá¹…ga refers to a type of Liá¹…ga, according to the ÅšivapurÄṇa 1.22 while explaining the importance of the partaking of the Naivedya of Åšiva:—“[...] in regard to BÄṇaliá¹…ga, metallic Liá¹…ga [viz., ³¢²¹³Ü³ó²¹±ô¾±á¹…g²¹], Siddhaliá¹…ga and SvayambhÅ«liá¹…ga and in all other idols, Caṇá¸a, one of the attendants of Åšiva, is not authorised. Where Caṇá¸a is not authorised, the food-offering can be partaken of by men with devotion. But no man shall partake of the food-offering where Caṇá¸a is authorised. [...]â€�.
