Charitable gifts (Բ) and sacred rites (karman) shall be performed to the extent of one’s capacity and affluence. The Tapoⲹñ (sacrifice in the form of penance) is far superior to thousands of Karmaⲹñs (ritualistic sacrifices). The 貹ⲹñ (sacrifice in the form of Japas) is far superior to thousands of Tapoⲹñs (sacrifices in the form of penance)�.
