Out of the four senses of the indeclinable � (ca) viz. समुच्च�, अन्वाच�, इतरेतरयो� (samuccaya, Ա峦ⲹ, itaretarayoga) and समाहार (), the Dvandva compound is formed of words connected in the last two ways and not in the first two ways. The instances of द्वन्द्व (dvandva) in the sense of इतरेतरयो� (itaretarayoga) are धव�-दिरपलाशा�, प्लक्षन्यग्रोध� (-徱貹ś�, ṣaԲⲹǻ) etc; cf. Kāś.on P. Vyakarana (व्याकर�, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
