: archive.org: Trisastisalakapurusacaritra顿补谤艣补谤腻迟谤颈 (啶︵ぐ啷嵿ざ啶班ぞ啶む啶班た) refers to the 鈥渘ight before the new moon鈥�, according to chapter 1.1 [腻诲墨艣惫补谤补-肠补谤颈迟谤补] of Hemacandra鈥檚 11th century Tri峁峁ａ弓i艣al膩k膩puru峁caritra: an ancient Sanskrit epic poem narrating the history and legends of sixty-three illustrious persons in Jainism.鈥敹俨拱洸拱宄侔� (i.e., 补尘腻惫补蝉墨) [is translated] this way rather than the 鈥渘ight of the new moon鈥� of the Lexs., because it is the night before the new moon is visible, and in the Hindu calendar is the last night of the dark fortnight, not the first of the bright fortnight.
