: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryavasthābhēda (अवस्थाभे�).—m pl S or jivācē avasthābhēda The variations (varied states) of the Soul, viz. jāgrada- vasthā, svapnāvasthā, suṣupatyavasthā Waking, dreaming, sound sleep. The first is referred to ṣṇ and to ٱṇa; the second to ŧ and to ōṇa; the third to ś and to Բōṇa; and they are termed respectively viśrva, taijasa, prājña. To these three states, when the full consideration of the Soul is to be entertained, two other are added, ٳܰī & ܲԳī q. v. in loc.
Marathi is an Indo-European language having over 70 million native speakers people in (predominantly) Maharashtra India. Marathi, like many other Indo-Aryan languages, evolved from early forms of Prakrit, which itself is a subset of Sanskrit, one of the most ancient languages of the world.
