Asiddhahetu (असिद्धहेतु) refers to one of the three fallacies of a hetu, as occurring in the ԱԳٲᲹⲹ貹-첹ṇa, a Śvetāmbara Jain philosophical work written by Haribhadra Sūri.—[Cf. Vol. II, P. 56, l. 4]—Fallacies of a hetu are of three kinds asiddha (unproved), viruddha (contradictory) and ԲԳپ첹 (inconclusive). Of them the asiddhahetu is one the existence of which is not ascertained. Viruddhahetu is inseparably connected with the antithesis of (what is to be proved). Anaikāntikahetu is found in 貹ṣa, sa貹ṣa and vi貹ṣa. For details see “Notes� (pp 135-136) on Nyāyakusumāñjali.
