Chapter 4 - Cetasikas Associated With Both Good And Bad Cittas (mind)

Cetasikas That Are common to both good and bad minds (cittas) are thirteen in number. They are:

  1. Phassa (contact, touch)
  2. Vedana (feeling, sensation)
  3. Sanna (cognition, perception)
  4. Cetana (volition)
  5. Ekaggata (one pointed-ness, or concentration on one subject)
  6. Jivitindriya (controlling faculty or principle)
  7. Manasikara (attention)
  8. Vitakka (initial application, thought)
  9. Vicara (sustained application)
  10. Adhimokkha (resolution, deciding commitment)
  11. Viriya (effort)
  12. Piti (joyful satisfaction)
  13. Chanda (will)

They are all mental factors which can associate with either good or bad states of mind.
