Obituary
SRI K. RAMAKOTISWARA RAU It is with a deep sense of sorrow that I record the sad demise, on May 19, 1970, of Sri K. Ramakotiswara Rau, the illustrious Founder-Editor of Triveni, at his home town, Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh. He leaves behind him his wife and adopted son, and a very large circle of dear and affectionate friends scattered all over India. The end came very peacefully and he was completely conscious to the last minute. It is significant that he passed away in Uttarayana Punyakalam on Nrisimha Jayanti Day which is considered to be very auspicious according to Hindu tradition. May his soul rest in peace! I propose to bring out the next issue (July 1970) of Triveni as a Special Number as a mark of tribute to his cherished memory. I request the esteemed readers of Triveni and the intimate friends of Sri Ramakotiswara Rau to send their tributes to him on any aspect of his life, and pass on the typescripts to me by the 15th July, 1970.
