Kaivalya-dipiká. A commentary on the Muktáphala of Vopadeva,
on the philosophy of the Bhagavata Purána. By Hemádri Deva,
Minister of Mahárája Rámarája. The king's name occurs as Káma-
rája in the last line of the text, but that may be only an epithet;
in Mr. Elliot's essay in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society
of Great Britain (IV, p. 28) it is written Mahadeva. He was a Jádava
king of the Lunar race (soma-vans'a), and ascended the throne of Deo-
ghar (Devagiri) in S'aka 1182. = A. E. 1260. This is also the time
which M. Burnouf assigned to Vopadeva in his Preface to the Bhagavata.
Wilson says "Vopadeva is generally assigned to the twelfth century,"
