Alankara We can see the use of Upama, Utpreksa and Rupakam, in SSM. Upama and Rupakam are the favourite Alankaras of the poet. Rasa As the work is puranic type, we cannot strictly say that SSM that has having a particular sentiment. But it may be assigned that Bhakti is the chief sentiment in SSM MadhusudanaSarasvati accepts Bhakthi as a distinct sentiment Kavikarnapura, the author of Alankara Kausthubha, holds the view of Madhusudana Sarasvati. In SSM Bhakti is the chief 72 sentiment as the, poet proclaims his devotion to Lord Siva, the presiding
deity of Sucindram.

Sucindrasthalamahatmya is one which got wide popularity, more
than a dozen of its Manuscripts certify the popularity of the work in
South India. Generally Mahatmyas do not. inspire the poets to write other
works. But SSM is the source of Inspiration of many works.

This is a poem written by Vattappalli P. Parameswaran sarma on
M.E. 1091 (1915). The source of this work is SSM. The auther used the
theme of SSM and wrote the work in his own way. In fact ; he
summarized the whole story.. The work has the 37 chapters. In style the
author imitates Narayanaya of Melpathur Narayanabhatta. Every chapter
