This page relates 鈥楽uperior qualities of 鈥楻udraksha鈥欌�� of the study on the Shaiva Upanishads in English, comparing them with other texts dealing with the Shiva cult (besides the Agamas and Puranas). The 鲍辫补苍颈峁诲s are ancient philosophical and theological treatises. Out of the 108 Upanishads mentioned in the Muktikopanishad, 15 are classified as Saiva-Upanisads.

3. Superior qualities of 鈥樃槌芑灏灏灬梗a鈥�

When a person wears 搁耻诲谤腻办峁 he gets benefit of doing his (Rudra鈥�s) Japa. i.e the wearing of these beads gives the same benefit as derived from repeating the holy Mantras dedicated to Rudra, (Lord 艢颈惫补) The 搁耻诲谤腻办峁 which is of the size of 鈥�Dh膩tr墨 Phala or (膧尘补濒补办补鈥�) is considered the best.
The 搁耻诲谤腻办峁 which has the size of 鈥�Badar墨 Phala or Plum鈥� is considered as medium or ordinary while that which is small in size like the 鈥�颁补苍腻 or Gram Seed鈥� is regarded by experts as of the lowest quality.[1]
