4. Atharvaveda-sa峁僪it膩 (b): Different names of Rudra
In the Atharvaveda 厂补峁僪颈迟腻, Rudra is well-known by several names. But most of these names are already mentioned in the 峁欢惫别诲补 and Yajurveda. Among them some attributes are unique and these unique epithets also bring into focus some new ideas in the growth of the personality of Rudra. He is known as Bhava, 艢补谤惫补,[1] Ugra,[2] 厂补丑补蝉谤腻办峁,[3] 狈墨濒补艣颈办丑补峁囜笉补,[4] 痴腻箩颈苍, 础蝉迟谤腻, 础谤诲丑补办补驳丑腻迟颈苍,[5] 碍补谤尘补办峁泃,[6] 惭峁涐箛补苍, 艢测腻惫腻艣惫补 and 碍峁涐梗峁嘺尘补蝉颈迟补.[7]
