Part 2.2e - The Śṅg Dynasty
ʳṣyٰ was the founder of this dynasty. The ten kings of this dynasty were:
- ʳṣyٰ(reigned for thirty six years),
- Agnimitra (reigned eight years),
- ղṣṭ or ṣṭ (reigned seven years),
- Vasumitra (reigned for ten years),
- Odraka (two years),
- Pulindaka (three years),
- ҳṣa (3 years),
- Vajramitra (nine years),
- Bhagavata (32 years) and
- ٱ𱹲ūپ (ten years).[1]
They altogether reigned for one hundred and twelve years. The term of Agnimitra is not counted as he reigned during the tenure of his father ʳṣyٰ. But it should be mentioned that the Ѳٲⲹܰṇa had mentioned that Śṅg dynasty reigned for 300 years,[2] which is proved to be incorrect in further studies.
