°Äå±ô²¹na meaning and sense
Kalana is the Absolute dynamism having five modes, imposing on Absolute, for discharging the five functions, which form the essence of Krama system.
Kalana ÅšabdÄrtha
[kala kila bila ká¹£epe, kala gatau, kala saá¹…khyÄne, kala Å›abde]—from these four ¶Ù³óÄå³Ù³Ü²õ, five meanings are given in Krama.
â€ká¹£epo jñÄnam ca saá¹…khyÄnam gatirnÄda iti kramatâ€
°á¹£e±è²¹ (Projection)—A°ì³Ü±ô²¹Å›¾±±¹²¹â€™s °²¹³Ü±ô¾±°ì¾±Å›²¹°ì³Ù¾± for the purpose of projecting universe, divides herself as Svatantra (±õ³¦³¦³óÄåÅ›²¹°ì³Ù¾±) and agitates outwardly to purify the multitudes of souls.—â¶Äahamâ€â€Sattaâ€Being
´³Ã±Äå²Ô²¹ (Knowledge)—Reflection that it is not different from Absolute occurs after outward agitation.â€â€aham-ahamâ€
³§²¹á¹…k³ó²âÄå²Ô²¹-Vikalpa[1] (Determination)—Differentiation as to “This and Not thisâ€ thus word and sense-difference occurs.—â¶Äaham-idamâ€.
Gati (Self-Identification)—Attainment of oneness of Self with Absolute. (±Ê°ùÄå±è³Ù¾±)—â¶Äbimba pratibimabavat bheda abheda ±è°ù²¹»å³óÄå²Ô²¹³¾â€Å¨¶Ä”â¶Äaham-aham-idam-idamâ€.
±·Äå»å²¹ (Pure awareness)—Reflecting on Self—â€ahamâ€.
These are the stages in Kalana, which is the activity of °Äå±ô¾±, who is °°ù²¹³¾²¹²õ±¹²¹°ùÅ«±èÄå. Åš¾±±¹²¹ is °Äå±ô²¹ without Krama (Akrama). °Äå±ô¾± with reference to Åš¾±±¹²¹ is Akrama. Thus she is both Akrama and sakrama.
