the whole world. It is surrounded by ocean. Its area is
1000 yojanas from north to south (27.15,16).

mountains, viz. Mahendra, Malaya, Sahya, Suktiman, Rksa,
Vindhya and Pariyatra. There are thousands of other
mountains near it. The boundaries are beautiful, wide and
citrasanu. There are hundreds of other mountains (27.21-24).
