Dev膩pa had seven daughters, viz. 艢谤耻迟补诲别惫腻, 艢腻苍迟颈诲别惫腻, 鲍辫补诲别惫腻, 艢谤墨诲别惫腻, 顿别惫补谤补办峁迟腻, 厂补丑补诲别惫腻 and 顿别惫补办墨. 顿别惫补办墨 was married to Vasudeva. The statement that 顿别惫补办墨 and 碍补峁僺补 were sister and brother is not fully correct. 碍补峁僺补 was the son of Ugrasena, the brother of Devaka. 顿别惫补办墨 was the grand-daughter of Devaka. Certain 笔耻谤腻峁嘺蝉 refer to 顿别惫补办墨 as the daughter of Devaka. According to them 碍补峁僺补 and 顿别惫补办墨 were children of the elder and the younger brothers respectively. According to the Agni Pur膩峁嘺 顿别惫补办墨 was the niece of 碍补峁僺补. Thus it is equally correct to say that between 碍补峁僺补 and 顿别惫补办墨 there was brother-sister relationship as also uncle-niece relationship.
顿别惫补办墨 in previous birth.
顿别惫补办墨 in her previous birth was Aditi, the daughter of 顿补办峁 and wife of Ka艣yapapraj膩pati. (See Aditi, Parva 3).
Marriage and children.
Vasudeva, the 驰腻诲补惫补 married 顿别惫补办墨. 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺 was their eighth child. Six sons of theirs born elder to 碍峁涐梗峁嘺 were killed by 碍补峁僺补. (See 碍补峁僺补, Para 2). The seventh child, from the very womb itself of 顿别惫补办墨 was passed on to the womb of 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�, who was another wife of Vasudeva. Balabhadra was the child thus born to 搁辞丑颈峁嚹�. The eighth child was 碍峁涐梗峁嘺. (For details see 碍峁涐梗峁嘺, Para 3-8).
Other information relating to 顿别惫补办墨.
(1) Many 碍峁迟谤颈测补 kings attended the 蝉惫补测补峁僾补谤补 of 顿别惫补办墨. (顿谤辞峁嘺 Parva, Chapter 144, Verse 9).
(2) Following 碍峁涐梗峁嘺鈥檚 giving up of his body and the destruction, due to mutual fights, of the 驰腻诲补惫补s, Vasudeva, 搁辞丑颈峁嚹� and 顿别惫补办墨 also gave up their lives.* (叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补, Ek膩da艣a Skandha, Chapter 31, Verses 18, 19).
