Story of ٱ𱹲ī
Mother of Śrī ṛṣṇa.

Devāpa had seven daughters, viz. Śܳٲ, ŚԳپ, 貹, Śī, ٱ𱹲ṣi, and ٱ𱹲ī. ٱ𱹲ī was married to Vasudeva. The statement that ٱ𱹲ī and ṃs were sister and brother is not fully correct. ṃs was the son of Ugrasena, the brother of Devaka. ٱ𱹲ī was the grand-daughter of Devaka. Certain ʳܰṇa refer to ٱ𱹲ī as the daughter of Devaka. According to them ṃs and ٱ𱹲ī were children of the elder and the younger brothers respectively. According to the Agni Purāṇa ٱ𱹲ī was the niece of ṃs. Thus it is equally correct to say that between ṃs and ٱ𱹲ī there was brother-sister relationship as also uncle-niece relationship.
ٱ𱹲ī in previous birth.
ٱ𱹲ī in her previous birth was Aditi, the daughter of ٲṣa and wife of Kaśyapaprajāpati. (See Aditi, Parva 3).
Marriage and children.
Vasudeva, the 岹 married ٱ𱹲ī. Śrī ṛṣṇa was their eighth child. Six sons of theirs born elder to ṛṣṇa were killed by ṃs. (See ṃs, Para 2). The seventh child, from the very womb itself of ٱ𱹲ī was passed on to the womb of dzṇ, who was another wife of Vasudeva. Balabhadra was the child thus born to dzṇ. The eighth child was ṛṣṇa. (For details see ṛṣṇa, Para 3-8).
