[How the illusion arises that the 腻迟尘补苍别辫补诲补 and the causative are alternate ways of saying the same thing is now explained. Kadr奴 tells 痴颈苍补迟腻 who has been enslaved: 膩tm膩na峁� kr墨峁嚹�峁�va鈥斺�榖uy yourself鈥�. 痴颈苍补迟腻, not being able to do so by herself, tells her sons : Kr墨峁嚹玹a m膩m: 鈥榩urchase me鈥�. Here Kadr奴 prompts 痴颈苍补迟腻 to do something. So there is prompting (辫谤补颈峁�a) and yet the 腻濒尘补苍别辫补诲补 is used in 碍谤墨峁嚹�峁１共�. So the illusion arises that 峁噄肠 and 腻迟尘补苍别辫补诲补 have the same scope. But it is only an illusion because the idea that 痴颈苍补迟腻 has to make her sons purchase her freedom (碍谤腻辫补测补) is understood not from the word used but from the context. Similarly, the expression Ke艣a艣ma艣ru Vapate = 鈥榟e shaves his head and beard鈥� is a cause of illusion because 鈥榟e shaves鈥� means that he prompts the barber to shave. So there is prompting and yet the 腻迟尘补苍别辫补诲补 is used. But here also, really speaking, the 腻迟尘补苍别辫补诲补 comes because the result of the shaving goes to the person shaved, namely, the agent of the verb vapate. It is from the context or from the nature of things that one understands that one gets the barber to do the shaving. So the scope of the two is not the same.]
