अथ सत्त्वाभास-भवाः �
मुद्-विस्मयादेर� आभास� प्रोद्यन� जात्या श्लथ� हृदि �
सत्त्वाभास इत� प्रोक्तः सत्त्वाभास-भवास� तत� ॥२.�.८६�atha sattv-bhavā� �
mud-vismayāder � prodyan jātyā ślathe hṛdi |
sattv iti prokta� sattv-bhavās ٲٲ� ||2.3.86||
English translation
“When a shadow () of joy, astonishment or other emotion appears in the heart of a person who is soft (sentimental) by nature, the heart is said to have developed a state of sattv. From this state of sattv arise symptoms similar to ٳٱ첹-屹, called sattv-屹. �
