चिन्ताम् अपरिमेया� � प्रलयान्ताम् उपाश्रिताः �
कामोपभोग-परमा एतावद् इत� निश्चिता� � ११ �
आश�-पा�-शतैर� बद्धाः का�-क्रो�-परायणा� �
ईहन्ते का�-भोगार्थम� अन्यायेनार्थ-सञ्चयान् � १२ �

Գ峾 aparimeyā� ca pralayāntām ܱś� |
kāmopabhoga-paramā etāvad iti Ծś�
|| 11 ||
ś-ś-śatair � 峾-ǻ-貹ⲹṇāḥ |
ī󲹲Գٱ kāma-bhogārtham anyāyenārtha-ñ
|| 12 ||

Գ峾–aԳ澱ٲ; 貹峾–in unlimited; ca–aԻ; ⲹ-Գ峾–until death; ܱś�–taking shelter; 峾-ܱ貹Dz–to enjoy the material senses; 貹�–the highest (goal of life); –tܲ; iti–t󲹳; Ծś�–dٱԾԲ; ś–of desire; ś–of ropes; śٲ�–by hundreds; –bdzܲԻ; 峾-ǻ–in lust and anger; 貹ⲹṇāḥ–aǰ; ī󲹲Գٱ–they endeavour; 峾-Dz–of sensual pleasures; artham–for the purpose; ԲԲ–by completely unjust means; artha–of wealth; ñ–for accumulation.

Since they believe sense enjoyment to be the ultimate purpose of life, they remain beset with unlimited anxieties until the time of death. Bound by the ropes of unlimited desires and always absorbed in lust and anger, they endeavour to secure wealth by any unjust means, for the sake of indulging in sensual pleasures.

Commentary: Sārārtha-Varṣiṇ� Ṭīkā

ʰԳ峾 means ‘until death�. Etāvad iti refers to those who have concluded from scripture that the senses should remain drowned in sense enjoyment. “Why should we worry for anything else?�
