श्रोत्रं चक्सुः स्पर्शनं � रसनं घ्राणम� एव � �
अधिष्ठाय मनश् चायं विषयान� उपसेवत� � � �śrotra� � sparśana� ca rasana� ṇa eva ca |
ṣṭⲹ manaś cāya� ṣa upasevate || 9 ||śdzٰ–e; �–e; 貹śԲ–the sense of touch; ca–aԻ; rasanam–the tongue; ṇa–of the nose; eva–e; ca–aԻ;ṣṭⲹ–by taking shelter; Բ�–of the mind; ca–aԻ; ayam–this (īٳ); ṣa–sense objects (sound, form, touch, etc.); upasevate–eDz.
Taking shelter of the ears, eyes, tongue, nose, sense of touch and also the mind, the living entity enjoys various sense objects, such as sound.
Commentary: Sārārtha-Varṣiṇ� Ṭīkā

“Upon reaching the next body, what does the living entity do?� In response to this question, Śrī speaks this verse beginning with śdzٰ. Taking shelter of the senses such as the ears and mind, he enjoys sense objects such as sound.
